This is the ASEAN Mineral Database Geospatial Information System (AMDIS) main portal. This portal is developed using the CCOP Geoinformation Sharing Infrastructure for East and Southeast Asia (GSi) geospatial system development tools and functions. AMDIS provides a cost-effective and easy to use ASEAN mineral resources geoinformation sharing system. It is envisioned to be an important source of information for the management and sustainable use of mineral resources in the ASEAN region. AMDIS also aims to promote investment in the mineral resources sector in the region.

The GSi Project is implemented by the Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ) and the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP). The project is headed by Dr. Shinji Takarada and the GSi information system is developed by Dr. Joel C. Bandibas of GSJ.
